Building Financial Clarity Through Practical Analysis

We started kaelumnovent because we noticed business owners struggling with the same thing—understanding where their money was actually going and what levers would make a real difference.

Based in Adelaide since 2019

How We Got Here

Back in 2019, I was working with small manufacturers around Adelaide. They'd hand me spreadsheets that made my eyes hurt—numbers everywhere, but nobody could tell me if they were actually profitable on specific product lines.

That frustration led to kaelumnovent. We're not trying to revolutionize finance or anything dramatic. We just help businesses see their numbers in ways that actually make sense for decision-making.

Most of our clients are in manufacturing, retail, or professional services. They come to us when their accountant gives them tax numbers but they still can't figure out which customers are worth keeping or which products drain resources.

What Guides Our Work

These aren't mission statement fluff. They're the principles we actually use when we're knee-deep in someone's P&L trying to figure out what's going on.

Numbers Should Tell Stories

Financial data means nothing until you connect it to what's happening in the business. We dig into the operations, not just the spreadsheets.

Practical Over Perfect

A quick analysis that helps you make a decision this week beats a perfect model you'll get in three months. We focus on what moves the needle.

Teaching While Doing

We explain our thinking as we go. Most clients start recognizing patterns themselves after a few months, which is exactly what we want.

The People Behind the Analysis

Small team, lots of industry experience. We've worked in operations, accounting, and consulting before landing here. That mix helps us understand both the numbers and the business context.

Margot Kellerman, profitability analyst

Margot Kellerman

Lead Analyst

Spent eight years in manufacturing finance before joining us in 2021. She's the one who can look at a cost structure and immediately spot where the inefficiencies are hiding. Scary good at it, honestly.

Sienna Quaid, financial operations specialist

Sienna Quaid

Operations Specialist

Came from retail management where she built inventory systems that actually worked. Now she helps our clients connect their operational metrics to financial outcomes. Her background means she gets the ground-level realities.

How We Work With Clients

1

Understanding the Business

We spend time learning how things actually operate. What drives costs, how pricing works, where bottlenecks show up. This usually takes a couple of weeks.

2

Building the Framework

Then we create analysis structures specific to that business. Not generic templates—custom setups that track what matters for their particular situation.

3

Regular Review Cycles

Most clients work with us monthly or quarterly. We review recent data, highlight patterns, and help interpret what's changing and why it matters.

4

Building Internal Capability

Over time, we help teams understand the analysis themselves. Some clients eventually take it in-house, which we consider a success.

Want to Talk About Your Numbers?
